Jonathan Delicata has been appointed club and first team captain of the Old Caterhamians.
Delicata takes over from Ewan Turney who stood down after five years at the helm
of the Park Avenue outfit. “It is a great privilege,” said Delicata. “Being captain
of a great club like Old Cats means everything to me.” Cats will be looking to bounce
back after their first ever foray into the London leagues led to relegation by the
narrowest of margins from London Four S-
“Our goal this season has to be promotion once again,” said Delicata. “We have to get back to basics and back to winning games. We need to build a better side with more experience to ensure that we stay up next time.”
Pre-
Cats hope their numbers will be boosted by taking part in the RFU’s official Go Play Rugby recruitment campaign to get men and women from 16 years of age upwards involved in senior rugby.
Training will take place every Tuesday at Park Avenue at 730pm.
