Minis Codes of Conduct

 

Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers

 

          O  Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.

           O  Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.

           O  Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.

           O  Never force your child to take part in sport.

           O  Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.

           O  Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.

           O  Publicly accept officials’ judgements.

           O  Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.

           O  Use correct and proper language at all times

 

Our Aims

 

To provide an opportunity for all those youngsters in the community who want to play Rugby Football to do so in a safe and knowledgeable environment. To ensure the playing future of the Senior Club, so that it remains a feature of the Caterham community.

 

Our Values

 

            O  That all local youngsters, whatever their creed or circumstances will be given an opportunity develop skill in

                 the game.  

            O  That no youngster will be turned away on the basis of inability to pay for subscriptions or equipment and that

                a contingency fund will always be available to help such children with kit, transport, etc.

            O  That emphasis is placed upon teamwork and sportsmanship, not upon victory at any cost.

            O  That those with particular ability are aware of what opportunities there are to play at a higher level.

            O  That a high proportion of coaching help is properly qualified by way of RFU coaching courses.

            O  That members are given enough interest in the game and sport in general so that they will want spend their

                leisure time constructively.

            O  That the youngsters' interest in no way interferes with their educational development.

 

Equity Policy Statement

 

This club is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and adopts the following Sport England definition of sports equity: Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society.

 

The club respects the rights, dignity and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.

 

The club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse.

 

All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.

 

The club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to club disciplinary procedures.
